The end is in sight! Where did the semester go? Time does fly when you're having fun, I guess.
I'm pert-near finished with my design/final assignment. Since I'm dong a syllabus for the History 121 class I teach at NOVA, there's little I can do in the way of glitz and glamour. But the site will be used and modified often. For this assignment, I just did the home page and syllabus page, but for the final assignment I will have done all the other pages involved (test page, assignment page, etc.). I have to have it up and running by May 19. I'm also going to have a blog page for the students as well (something I picked up from this class).
Comments in advance of Thursday's class are most appreciated!!! The link is:
Jeff,
simply amazing! Your design has given me some ideas for my banner. I have to say that you have a real knack for design! The vinetted images are amazing!

John,
Thanks for your comments! A lot of the design is trial and error (a few Saturday's worth). For a comparison, see what my site did look like: http://mason.gmu.edu/~jweir/Index.html
Thanks again!

Jeff,
I think your site is amazing. It is well laid out and more importantly it provides a useful resource for your students. Other professors put a typed up syllabus on the web which is nothing more than dates, reading assignments and work to be done. Your site tells the students that your class is 1st rate and I would imagine it inspires your students to work harder. When you have an instructor that develops a professional looking site it makes you feel better about taking the course. (At least it does for me.)
Also thanks for the link to the Valley site, I'm reading that book in another class for next week.
I did notice that your alt for some of your first letter character images don't match the first word. You probably want to go back and change that.
