Alexander Hamilton...Good Guy or Bad Guy?

 

This week we're going to start talking about the  drama over the Constitution and the battle between the Federalists and anti-Federalists, from what you've read on Alexander Hamilton so far, what are your impressions of the man? What motivated him? Is he a good guy or bad guy as far as "the people" and their rights are concerned? Defend your answer.

Articles of Confederation vs. the Constitution

When you read Chapter 6, I want you to take special notice of the differences between the the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution of the U.S.; what is the most obvious difference between these two documents?

Considering the Constitution itself, what does the Constitution say about slavery? What does it say about political parties? What is the only crime mentioned in the Constitution and why do you think it’s in there?  

 Lastly, when you read the Constitution and then the Bill of Rights (the first 10 amendments to the Constitution) what does each document accomplish in your view?
